Eternal Patrol: Kingsley Parker

Seattle Base member Kingsley Parker departed on Eternal Patrol on May 2, 2017. He qualified USS Tang (SS-563) in 1960 and was a QM3(SS) when he left the Navy.
You are invited to join us at a Celebration of Life Ceremony for:
Kingsley G Parker
QM3/SS USS Tang (SS-563)
May 8, 1939 - May 2, 2017

Come and join us to honor the memory of our dearly departed shipmate and “Brother” Kingsley G Parker.

Kingsley was a unique individual who was highly respected in his community both in business and social causes. Kingsley started the Renton “Blue Ribbon Initiative”, was a leader of the Chamber of Commerce and Rotary Club. Kingsley was most proud of his US submarine heritage and, although found his mobility greatly diminished, attended our last Holiday luncheon at Meydenbauer Yacht Club in December. He will be missed. Kingsley is survived by his son Jason and his employees who he considered family.

As a testament of his standing in the Renton community, Mayor Dennis N Law mandated the flag be flown at half-staff in his honor until Friday. It is expected that several hundred people will attend his ceremony.

The ceremony will be Sunday, May 21 from 1 - 3 PM at the Renton Pavilion (233 Burnett Ave So., Renton WA)

Kingsley’s family requests in lieu of flowers please consider donations to the “Parker Family Memorial Fund” at www.rentonfoundation.org

You may also check out his business web site King & Bunny’s appliances.
