2019 Tolling Ceremony Reminder

Seattle Float at the 2018 Tolling

The Seattle Base Submarine Veterans will be holding our annual Tolling of the Boats Ceremony on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Marina Park Pavilion in Kirkland, Washington. The ceremony will begin at 11 A.M. and last for a little more than an hour.

We have use of the pavilion from 9 AM to 3 PM. Setting up the chairs and tables will commence at 9 AM. Any help will be gratefully accepted. The base's parade float will also be there and will need to be "dressed" for public display. Again, volunteers will be accepted and appreciated. Through the effort of many, we hope this will prove to be another successful Tolling event.

I have been informed through Steve Shelton that parts of the ceremony will be recorded by KING 5 TV in conjunction with a bio being done by them on World War II submarine vet Ralph Sterley. Look pretty, you may be interviewed!!!

After some post ceremony refreshments, we, again will gladly accept volunteers help in breaking everything down and loading the chairs into the truck and tables into and onto trailers and vans, etc. We must be clear of the pavilion by 3:PM.
