Our guest speaker will be Mark Holmes. We know you will want to hear from this amazing gentleman who has a keen love of oceanography and submarines.
Mark served on the USS Current (ARS-22) from 1960-3 and had some remarkable experiences that influenced his life’s work. In June 1960 he participated in the raising one of the five Japanese midget subs that participated in the attack on Pearl Harbor.
While in the reserves he graduated in the School of Oceanography and is now a Professor Emeritus at the University of Washington and “College of the Environment” and “School of Oceanography”.
